Obtaining a New Jersey Real Estate License

To obtain a New Jersey real estate license with Daunno Realty Services, LLC, you need to follow these steps:

MEET THE BASIC REQUIREMENTS

Be at least 18 years old
Have a high school diploma or equivalent
Possess good character, trustworthiness, honesty, and integrity

Complete Pre-Licensing Education

Enroll in and complete a 75-hour pre-licensing course approved by the New Jersey Real Estate Commission
REMEMBER: Daunno Realty will sponsor qualified agents and re-imburse them for the cost of the real estate course.
The course covers topics such as license law, contracts, appraisals, fair housing, financing, and New Jersey real estate practice

Pass BOTH the School and State Exam

- Most New Jersey real estate schools have a “final” exam which needs to be passed in order to qualify for the state test.
- Schedule the New Jersey Real Estate Salesperson Licensure Exam through PSI
- Take and pass the exam with a score of at least 70%

Complete Background Check

Submit fingerprints for a criminal background check
Fill out the required Universal background check form
Submit information and pay the fee for the state mandated background check

Submit License Application

Provide your broker (Rudy or Brandon Daunno) with your Applicant ID number from your exam score card
Ensure all required paperwork is ready for submission
Your broker will submit the application through the My New Jersey Online Licensing Services portal

Once your application is approved by the New Jersey Real Estate Commission, you and your broker will receive an email confirmation, and you’ll be legally authorized to practice real estate in New Jersey!

IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER:

You have one year after completing your pre-license course to schedule and pass the state exam
Additionally, timing your fingerprinting with your application submission is recommended for a smoother process. Applications will not process until your fingerprints are in the state system.
